Lian Li NC09 Laptop Cooler Review

The Lian Li NC-09 laptop cooler is a cooler pad used to reduce the operating temperature of a laptop computer. If the fan of your laptop isn't enough to cool it up the NC09 is the device you need. It can easily be placed below your laptop when you work to make sure that it doesn't get over heated.

The most striking thing about the NC09 is the fan. It is a 220 mm fan that is harbored in the center of the laptop cooler, and it lights up in blue color. On the side of this NC09 are placed three USB ports. The mini USB port can be used for mini phone adapter. The NC09 also comes with USB cable of two types a (male) connector. One end of this cable is connected to the NC09 and the other end can be used to connect to any type of USB devices such as pen drives. It's not possible to connect the mini USB to any USB device other than a cell phone adapter. The NC09 is meant for laptops up to 17 inches.

The NC09 allows you to place your laptop under a certain angle, which can be easily accomplished using thumbscrews. You just need to loosen the thumbscrews and move the bracket to the required position.

The outer design of Lian Li's NC09 is made of aluminum. Most such coolers are made of a combination of plastic and aluminum, giving it a cheap look. However, the NC09 is made of pure aluminum from front to back, giving it a stylish look, which would go with the look your laptop has, without looking conspicuous.

The NC09 works well with any type of laptops. Generally older versions of laptops do not have a proper cooling effect, NC09 is ideal for such laptops. It cools the laptop to up to 7 degrees below its normal operating temperature, which is much better than the onboard fan.

The NC09 will give best result when fitted under the laptop at an angle. The laptop is also more convenient to use this way. The cooling effect is just about average in the NC09 and is recommended for casual use. However, the best part about the NC09 is its design. It fits in easily with whatever laptop you may be having. Due to its design it is sturdier than other laptop coolers and would obviously last longer. However, due to its aluminum exterior it may cost slightly more than the plastic versions; but you shouldn't mind spending that little extra for quality.
